YES. If you have lived in your dorm or apartment for at least 30 days, you are an Athens resident. You have a legal right to register here.

My Ohio ID has my parents' address. Is that OK?
YES. Ohio law explicitly says your photo ID address does NOT need to match your voting registration address. As long as the valid voting ID is unexpired and has your name/photo, you can use it.

Why should I vote where I rent?
BECAUSE YOU LIVE HERE. You use the sidewalks, drink the water, and pay the rent. Landlords know that local laws affect their bottom line, so they show up to protect their interests. Who is showing up to protect yours?
Will I lose my Financial Aid?
NO. Federal financial aid (FAFSA) is based on your school's cost of attendance and your family's income. Where you vote does not change your tuition or your aid package.

What about In-State Tuition?
IT'S COMPLICATED. Voting in Ohio helps establish residency, but it doesn't grant in-state tuition automatically.
